The Chamber Music Society of Logan (CMSL) was established in 1981 by a group of local chamber music enthusiasts. CMSL is a mature organization which features five concerts per year, presenting some of the world’s most notable chamber ensembles.
In 2005, CMSL moved to a new home. Concerts now take place in the acoustically refined Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall on the Utah State University campus in Logan, Utah.
In 2006, CMSL was honored with Chamber Music America’s annual CMAcclaim Award. This prestigious national award is presented to an individual chamber musician, ensemble, or organization for achievements in chamber music that have had a significant impact on a community at the local or regional level. The award celebrates diversity of musical styles and genres, race and gender, types of audience served, and geographic location.
CMSL strives to promote musicianship of the highest caliber, representing traditional chamber music of the past as well as contemporary works of recent and living composers.
To provide high quality chamber music performances in a 5–concert series for Utah audiences at an affordable price.
